n the year 2009 one of the leading steel manufacturers in Europe visited us and requested us, whether we could arrange the transportation and logistics of their steel parcels from and to various destinations across the Atlantic.

One of the leading steel manufacturers in Europe wanted to ship steel parcels from and to various destinations across the Atlantic.

Dumar Chartering B.V., with her skilled staff, already had a lot of experience with transatlantic shipments ex continent. Therefore a Contract of Afreightment became firm and definite.

Dumar Chartering B.V. received the order, booked and transported over 22.000 metric tons of steel rails from various places out of the Baltic, Rotterdam, Antwerp and Spain direction Venezuela and Brazil. Basically the cargo was divided in six shipments, between 2000 and 5000 metric tons.

It was decided to work three shipments on the sport market, resulting in fixing some parcels with a very good and reliable partner, BBC Chartering.  On the pictures you can see Mv Barbarossa and Mv BBC Colorado during the loading in North Spain. The remaining quantity was transported with our own fleet!
